Alloy 321 stainless steel is a titanium-stabilized version of alloy 304, used in particular applications within the sensitizing temperature range. Its resistance to sensitization, coupled with higher strength at high temperatures makes it suitable in application where alloy 304 will become sensitized, or where 304L has insufficient hot strength.
Characteristics
- Excellent resistance to high-temperature corrosion
- Excellent formability
- Higher creep resistance
- Good resistance for intergranular corrosion when expose in midly corrosive environments
Market applications:
- Chemical & refineries
- Power plants
- Super heater and after burner parts
- Furnace components
