Alloy C4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with outstandingly high temperature stability. This attribute makes the C4 exceptionally resistant to a wide variety of chemical process environments, such as hot contaminated material, acids, solvents, chloride, acetic, seawater and brine solutions. The alloy C4 gives a design freedom in areas where weld geometry makes excessive heat build-up unavoidable. It’s generally similar to alloy C276, but has a improved stability.

  • High ductility and corrosion resistance
  • Resists the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld heat-effected zone
  • Excellent resistance at ambient temperatures
  • Good resistance to corrosive media under oxidizing and reducing conditions
